    Very interesting and well written.

    Globalisation and it's Discontents - Joseph Stiglitz

    I think many may have read this already, but it's a very good critique of the conduct and policies of the IMF/World Bank/Washington Consensus.

    The Gods that failed - Larry Elliott, Dan Atkinson

    A pretty readable assessment of the current shitstorm.

  2. Fantasy Island - Larry Elliott. Essential reading, and actually very funny. Elliott looks at the fantasy of New Labour Britain as compared to the reality - needless to say, the comparison isnt a kind one.
